you might be getting 60Hz in games because of XP, alot of games run in 60hz, i dunno why, but the new nvidia drivers have a feature which lets you set the refresh rate for each res, overriding the applications specification if necessary. Just a thought

mate of mine has tried it and has had no luck, you can't just plug it straight into a hub/switch (well you can try, but it won't work), a router on the other hand, yes, if you buy a router then you can do it.
