Last minute stuff then...

K, I'm pretty much offline from midday Friday... Maps and stuff are posted to the front page... No goddamn turning up before 10, either. See http://www.shotgunlan.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=5798#5798 for details of pubbage and the like. Me mobile is 07881 780565 if there's any urgent last minute pro...

The official Admin view on this (i.e. the only one that matters, i.e. mine ;) ) is that this is possibly one of the most frighteningly bad marketing games ever. Positively brimming over with gimp-y-ness.

That doesn't mean that I won't be playing for drinking penalties, of course ;)

Okies - We can now confirm that official opening time is going to be 10pm. Those wishing to make the journey sooner will find pre-SG pubbage going on down the road from about 8 or so. The pub is "The Cricketers", which saw a similar fiasco happening last time... For those who know the area...

Dude, you're getting married in 3 months, and you have to check if you're getting old... You there already, boy :)

Besides which, I have adopted the word "Spaff" as the word of the LAN. Prixes may be awarded for the most creative use of it over the weekend :)

2 points then... We always send a second pimpage mail about 2 weeks prior to the event. This is partly to jog people's memories, and partly to get people who intend to come to sign up if they haven't already. Gives us a much better handle on the numbers... DN3D - Anyone got a copy? I seem to remembe...

SG18 - The Monket smileth upon us

And we are indeed blessed. Forsooth, for those of you that don't realise it, there is a new chance to come and pay homage to that most benevolent of patrons, the SG Monket. There shall be much feasting, singing and drinking, in amongst the ritual burning of ICS users. With the summer months approach...

SG18 - A bit short notice really...

Evening all, This is all a bit short notice, I realise, but the monkey collective would like to announce that SG18 is going to be taking place on 21-23rd May, 2004, once more at TS Swiftsure in Aldershot. I normally go to town on these email thingys, but frankly, I'm running out of cunning new ideas...

If you feel like getting beardy about it, the Samba project can run as a PDC on a 2K domain... Does require running some form of unix based thingy though. And it's a pig to set up...

Have fun ;)

They better note the free pimpage and everything ;)

Ah... the joys of consoles and TV Cards... The only thing I could ever get to work was a magnificent package called DScaler (which may or may not support USB thingmys). It basically contains support for demunging the input signals into a nice format... Consoles tend to push the limits of the RF TV s...

4 - Would you actually let me in? With a drum kit? I meant generally, actually :) 5 - I'l admit I've not looked too hard, but where is the thing? Aldershot! Near Ash train station, very convenient. I'm sure it's frighteningly convenient, but where is the damn thing??? :) Unless it's actually _at_ t...

1 or 2 Qs then... 1 - Will there be monkeys? 2 - Is this "Live music" likely to amount to people twanging tunelessly at guitars? 3 - If so, you need a drum kit? 4 - Would you actually let me in? 5 - I'l admit I've not looked too hard, but where is the thing? 6 - Can I just sit and play Amp...

Happy New Year, Kiddies!

No, I'm not just disorganised... For those who don't know, Chinese New Year is today, and I felt it was my duty to inform those of you who were previously unaware that this is, in fact, the year of the monkey.

Excellent.

Though everyone should be aware that I've never played the game, or it's predecessor, in my life.

But if it involves monkeys, I'm in.
