Ah, simpler explanation than expected. Surely there can't be that much difference between the games though?

Re: Un-Offical List of Games for SG19

ps. I'm a car racing SIM freak so if there's any car games that are played please lemme know! If by sim you mean ACTUAL sim and not something like TOCA Race Driver, I'd be quite happy to break out Grand Prix Legends at some point :) never got on with gpl, could have done if i gave it enough time, b...

Until they stop working after 4 months ;)

Tbh, they've probably fixed the reliability issues by now, but for a good year or so there was a very high failure rate. Not quite on the IBM Deathstar scale but not far off (i've still got a working deathstar -wooo).

Wouldn't touch maxtor drives atm, too many failures in the last 12 months to make it just a coincidence. Western Digi all the way IMO.

I can see the multiplayer maybe being a bit more interesting on xbox live because of the controllers. Personally i'm sticking with NS and DC for my multiplayer fix.

Sorry, not a personal attack, but this has to be said... Keane are a bunch of bed-wetting, trainspotting, dullards who wouldn't know a tune if they'd sucked it from Chris Martin's lactating man breasts. They don't even have a guitarist ffs. It's saturday-morning-tv pop-lite-drivel. Elbow on the othe...

It's not a free 10-day rental service. Well to be fair, it is really. Otherwise they'd weigh it down with all kinds of annoying clauses and tell you it has to be still shrink wrapped etc... instead of giving the no-questions-asked schpiel. Besides, as long as you bring it back in perfect condition ...

A couple of games were stupid enough to have the cd key on a sticker stuck to the inside of the dvd box. When I worked at Game we caught a lad going through every box with a pen and notepad. Needless to say we chucked the cheeky c*nt out after forcibly removing his notepad.

Unless it's got a legacy AGP port (which most of them dont seem to have) then no, it's new (and expensive) Gfx card time.

might be worth spending as little as possible on a stop-gap mobo until you want to upgrade the full system.

If it's not a Prescott chip, then i'd suggest either the Abit IC7 or the IC7-Max3 depending on what features you want and how much you're willing to spend. Both have intel northbridges and support dual-DDR ram @ 800mhz fsb (PC3200) and SATA drives. The main differences are: IC7 £76 inc VAT IC7-Max3 ...

Anything with Abit or Asus on the tin is usually the best bet, or Intel if you aren't fussy about overclocking features. I wouldn't touch anything from MSI . http://www.orifice.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/burn5.JPG Next choice is the chipset you choose and that depends on which P4 CPU you have, and after t...

Laptops are only worth having if you need the portability - and if you do go for low weight / long battery life above performance. The standard P4 desktop chips really aren't suitable for mobile computing... Chris used to bring the Alienware into lectures in the winter months to keep the room warm :...
