You don't have any dodgy VPN clients installed do you? They do some weird things sometimes. As for no firewall, NAT does provide a firewall of sorts. It doesn't allow any incoming traffic unless it matches outgoing traffic to/from the same source. If you want a web server on your PC to be visible to...

Nah doesn't need as powerful a machine.

I run it on a P4 3ghz, 9800XT 256mb, 1gb RAM. It runs in 1280x1024 with all settings on high and it looks real nice :)

Doom3, on the other hand, looked like dogshit and didn't run much better in 1024x768 with some settings on medium.

Half-Life 2 > All.

Urm, it's skinnable?

There's more to it than just a different look to ie :P

It's better than IE in pretty much every way.

Avoid netgear wireless, I've had nothing but problems with them.

I'm using a D-link G604T 802.11g ADSL router (with 4port ethernet hub). Works a charm. No annoying connection dropping like I've seen with every netgear wireless I've used.

A decent FOV and generally not being a typically shite console -> PC port would have been nice too.....;)

Yer seems like a lot of people are interested in DM for hl2, should be good.

Might even have to run a CS:Source server @ SG20, horror of horrors ;)

I know what a NAS device is, but it's still a computer in it's own right. Whether you can format the drives in windows and plug them back in to the device, who knows, give it a try :)

When you can pick up a 250gb USB2 drive for a shade over £100 these days btw ;)

Still, I'm not sure how yo uthink you can use a Windows format utility to format a drive that exists on another physical machine and OS.

If it's NAS and has it's own OS then surely the device itself will handle partitioning?
