I have had similar probelms with my MSI Ti4200 but I'm hoping a bios update solved the problem as I'm planning to reinstall XP tonight.

Could someone please advice me whether turning safe mode off is a mayor security risk? If it is, is there ways in which you can minimise these risks?

800*600 would have done the job fine without screwing over the forum....

We have one of those cases in labs and it's pretty good. Quality build and enough space to shake your 5 HDDs at..........As much as it pains me to say I agree with biggles.

freedb is great but you do have to be careful about multiple entries due to stupid people typing in the wrong names.

i was thinking that maybe there is a full hardware reset if you hold down a button combo on start up which might help sort things out.

I dropped my Xbox today which you can imagine I'm not happy about and now it will not recognise any dices I try, including DVDs. Does any one have any suggestions for a solution?

When I said I was just starting out I meant I had completed the 'Sams teach yourself C in 21 Days' course. I am looking for a reference book with headers and enough syntax to help but no theory.

Oh and not much call for Java in computational drug design under a Unix environment.

Could someone (with some experience) recommend a good C/C++ reference book? I'm just starting out with C/C++ but beginners guides become useless very quickly.
