Hotmail fights off *all* spam?

Post by LazyManc »

Has anyone with a hotmail account noticed that for the last couple of days they've recieved no spam at all? I've been speaking to a few m8's and it's not just me that's noticed this... so have MS found a way to block all spam?

If so, good on 'em, it's about time.

I suppose they might have realised that SpamAssassin's the best anti-spam tool out there and applied it to their servers.

Then again, it is a Linux tool, so probably not ;-)

You may discover that this has something to do with it... In the comments, some users are proclaiming 50-90% drops in incoming spam.

Gotta be good though :)

Spamnet is clearly the most effective anti-spam solution out there. I catches 95-99%, SA was getting 70-85%, even after I'd tried tinkering with it :(

Spamnet tho, does exactly what it says on the tin. Install it, job done. If any mailers you want get blocked, click 'unblock'. Good software and good design. Shame you have to pay for it now, but it is worth it.

You're definitely far more experienced at tinkering....I prefer things that just work ;)
