Or piggin' Italy or ferkin' Aztec. I stopped playing on servers that didn't have customs maps.

Mind you, with BF1942 & Vietnam, I don't play CS at all...

Bah! Why did they illuminate the inside of hostage building on cs_italy? Gives the CTs a nice silhouette to aim at now!

You can find anyfin you want on the net init. All those that have bought HL2 through Steam (like me) and don't want to have to DL it everytime you format etc, there's a backup guide here >

http://www.wrgn.net/index.php?id=5

Download the installer from there too. Makes it easier to re-install it when you need too.

Not only that, but you can go here and download yourself a DVD box cover for it >

http://www.marcopolo.me.uk/hl2.html

BTW > There's no manual with HL2 even if you buy it from the shop.

I got it yesterday and it's really fucking good....

Steam is total shite and it took me 1hr 30mins to create a steam account & register all the other bollocks they want you to. However, the game makes up for it!!!!

Half-Life 2 > All.

For all Valve's fault they *really* know how to make a fucking good game.

Prolly a silly question (judging from the videos) but, does HL2 need a beast of a machine to run it? or about the same spec as Doom 3?

Nah doesn't need as powerful a machine.

I run it on a P4 3ghz, 9800XT 256mb, 1gb RAM. It runs in 1280x1024 with all settings on high and it looks real nice :)

Doom3, on the other hand, looked like dogshit and didn't run much better in 1024x768 with some settings on medium.

Not going to take much if it doesn't have repetitive game play...
