SG20 - Guess we ought to do some organising then...

Post by PeteTheHair »

From my just-posted email...
Evening all,

Seeing as we've got a month (ish) to the next event, it's about time I started hassling and organising people then... The main message for this email is that if you're coming along, come let us know - Head for the signup page at www.shotgunlan.com and register to tell us you'll be there. You can even prepay and save yourself a fiver. Think of all the extra beer you can buy for us with that cash ;)

In other bits and bobs, we've updated the site a little, to make the info pages a little more clear, and we've got a spiffy new forum theme, which I almost finished before I got bored with it :)

So - If you're coming, please check the signup list on the site. If you're not there (which may well be a problem in my code ;)), please register and let us know. If you're not coming along, you can see what you're missing out on. May a thousand monkets attack you in the night. Or something. Actually, no, we're all about the love here. We love you anyway.

The basic details once again:

Event - Shotgun 20
Dates - Friday, 15th September -> Sunday, 17th September, 2006 Location - TS Swiftsure, Badshot Lea, Aldershot Price - Once more, the SG Standard of £15 pre-paid, £20 on the day

Further Information -
You can get hold of us in the following ways:
* Reply to this email - I'll do my best to get back to you ASAP
* Web - The site and forums are always available at www.shotgunlan.com
* IRC - #shotgunlan on Quakenet (irc.quakenet.org). Feel free to hassle an op :)
* MSN - pete-passport@shotgunlan.com - Please don't use this address for email though.

Well I'm definitely coming, but only for Saturday (not kipping) and I'm bringing my girlfriend's lad with me. Any chance of a a pro-rata price? :)

*Makes a note to make a phone call*

Rather happily, we do still have our standard networking kit (or we should do when I make said phone call ;) ). Noone panic - there will actually be a LAN at this LAN party ;)

Morning all,

Just a quick note - For what it's worth, I've fixed the problem with the signup which meant you had to have "Remember Me" Ticked. It should now just work. I think. Maybe. ;)

Hello lads, long time no speak.

I'm toying with bringing the landed motley crew over for some fun and frolics.

Either way, SGlan are always welcome to borrow our any of our equipment, cos you're all good lads and we love you.

I did text Pete, but either he's changed his number or he's ignoring me... :(

A woo and indeed, a hoo!

Do come along, sir! Even if it's jsut for a few beers one of the nights, come down and have a giggle.

The offer of kit is much appreciated, but we're good, cheers. We love you too :)

I'm not ignoring you, honest, and I've not changed my number (07881 780565)... Not sure what's going on there.

Anyway - Come along. The beer will be cold. You know that real LANs are run ;)

Monkets.

Microwave rice.

Beer.

Some of those 'game' things.

Beer.

Ho hum.

I'm a bit out of practice with this LAN lark, need to get some DVDRs in.
