Student Loan

Post by uatec » Fri Sep 26, 2003 11:32 pm

My student loan has just come though, and I have budgeted, and this year I have a fair bit left over.

What would you recommend that I get. I am upgrading my PC, but I also want a console, cos my PC is destined to be wank, whatever I do...

Depends what you want.

Xbox = great for driving games, excellent online service, Halo, Project Ego (Fable, I can't beleive it's going to be bad), Knights of the Old Republic, JSRF, lots of interesting stuff on the way. GTA and GTA:VC on the way, easy to mod and do funky stuff with.

PS2 = All the licenses, Rez, Ico.

Gamecube = Zelda, Metroid, Monkey Ball, Mario.

Really depends what you're after.

/me looks through his complimentary piggy bank from natwest for a three sided coin...

I think i will give the game cube a miss.. I am not to fond of these nintendo games like mario or zelda... I find monkey ball good for a laugh, but not something i would play for more than 10 minutes at a time...

i am really drawn between XBox and a PS2. I like the interface of the Xbox more, just because you can do more with it. with the PS2 all you can really do is shove in a disc, and play. but i will see

which is best, from the benchmark point of view, which is more reliable and looks better, and stuff like that?

also, what do you mean by All the licenses?
