Well, I bought a PS2 today

GT3, omg, brings back so many happy memories of GT on me old PS1, top game.

Also got Ico. Very weird, but very very good

I'm going to refrain from talking about PS2 as most people won't like what I will say.

Ico is VERY good

I love the xbox, but is simply doesn't have anything like Ico. By that I mean slightly weird, non-mainstream titles. It can't afford to, it needs mainstream acceptance.

Saying that, True Fantasy Live Online and O.TO.GI look class

There's no reason to hate the PS2.

It's got Gran Turismo 3, (best driving game on the market)

And Ico, which is one of the most beautiful games I've ever seen, and the kind of weird game that X-Box just doesn't have at the moment.

Pisses me off that you gotta spend an extra £27 on a mem card tho =/

I don't hate the PS2, I just hate the whole public opinion that its the only console worth buying.

substance should rock, but I didn't see (PC) under the listings of what platforms it was being to be released on in Edge...which worries me, I want this thing to come out on PC, it said it was in a trailer I have.

I'm pretty sure it's due on PC, although the xbox version is the last xbox game Konami will be making due to low sales in Japan (but really because they are a bunch of fuckwits paid off by sony).

Anyways, i've just been playing the Splintercell Beta on meh box and it cacks all over MGS2 from a great height.

I guess I wouldn't hate the PS2 so much if I was in Japan.
There are some very cool games over there.

Unfortunatly all we ever get is Medal Of Honour Frontline and Fifa: The Next One. Errr, no that's ok thanks. I like games made for the sake of making games, not for the sake of making money. *cough* EA*cough*

You've missed the huge stacks of EA games on every platform then?

PS2 = very good console

X-Box = not as good at the mo, but has potential to be *much*better.

There weren't any on the dreamcast, and it's well known that EA are kind of apathetic towards the Xbox and GC

Anyway, my dig there wasn't at the Playstation specifically, just at the current conditions of the Western games market in general.

The reason EA appear to focus on the PS2 is that it has such a huge installed user base and more potential software sales.

You have got your chip for xbox then? What one do you have?

Yeah I know, the thing is that a lot of that 'installed base' are probably faulty replacements.

The amount of PS2s we get returned faulty where I work gets stupid sometimes.

Not to mention the people that have bought 2-3 of the damn things.

So, the PS2's installed userbase is a 'phantom' figure.

Even so, it's still miles ahead of the other two for the moment.
Although, Xbox sales have been surging recently


Anybody else got Sega GT 2002?
I hate racing games but I can't stop playing this one, it's so cool!
I'm currently driving a souped up Cosmo Sport, and I just qualified for my Class B License. At the moment I'm only buying replacement tires as I save up for a Corvette!

I've got Sega GT 2002 and ATM I'm driving a 1970 Skyline GT-R souped up to the max and it blows every car in the game away.I've also just got my B license.

hmm Corvette? are u sure the handling on them are crap.
