I think the controls are badly thought out, for some reason, holding up or down and pressing space to punch doesn't ever seem responsive... am I missing something here? could it be perhaps that there is a limit to how many punches can be thrown every Xseconds? perhaps there is a wait period before another punch can be thrown that is making me believe that it's unresponsive, or perhaps it's the dual input of blocking plus the space bar to activate a punch that makes the controls a bit fiddly? I dont know, it's 2:26am, I should be asleep, and I'm ranting
