We almost bought one or two of these for SG, but they stopped the offer before we clicked "buy". Prolly just as well, tbh.

...and I thought the free T-Shirts that we are getting from Dell when we purchased some poweredge servers was good.

I'd like to see how many were on offer though.

If only my new credit card had arrived a bit earlier :'(

The chips retail for £300 a piece.

A mate pointed these out to me at work last week. £99 looks sexy, but you had to add £150 for VAT and delivery = £249. Still, quite a good deal I guess since as middy pointed out the chip costs a fair bit on its own.
At the end of the day though it's still a Dell server, seriously have you ever used a dell server? Life expectancy of what, 2 months at best!? :P

The Register article says that it was a pricing error and no-one got the servers, so wouldn't have mattered anyways.
