It's more alpha than beta... but we're scouring eBay for cheap USB ports and controllers.
But let me reiterate!
Give us your old USB joypads! Your old hubs! You'll get them back! You'll be in the credits! You can playtest! You might even *gasp* get free copies!
Playtesting weekend is provisionally slated for 2 weekends time. The more the merrier*
Just not sure what we'll play it on 'til we get a LARGE screen system - Si's 21" monitor?
*upto 127 people

Damn, did I really throw away that old camcorder with the blummin lens? I knew I should have kept it. If you build them into the bottom of a cardboard box and stick it over the TV you can project the TV onto a wall very big. (As long as the room is VERY dark
)

Well, I DID, but I have just been outside and the bin men haven't been yet, so I have been tearing open bin bags LOL. Yay it was still there! Yay me.
** runs off to find a cardboard box **
Er.. .** washes hands **
(Yes, the whole project your TV with a lens and box thing is shite, but it's quite fun to try. Anyone got a small mirror or (better) a prism from an old pair of binoculars.. ..or do I have to insist Adam includes funtionality to flip the image left-to-right? I tried anyway, to support back-projection, but this is a much better reason).

In our house? Yes.
Crowded around Si's 21" monitor? No.
Definitely would be a 'bring your own joypad' party tho

i have a pad but it is the old port, got any use for it at all?

I would that it's all through DirectInput, so it shouldn't care what interface it's connected via.
I've got an old Sidewinder (joystick port) round here somewhere that you're welcome to use.

The only drawback with Joystick port joysticks is that you can only plug one in!

The Sidewinder pads let you daisy-chain them together from a port on the back of each pad

True. I've got two here. But only the sidewinder pads let you do that. Is that what you got?
