My New Domain

Post by uatec »

If some guy bought a domain for me under the pretense that he knows what he is doing.

He has registered the domain under my name, what information do I need from him? in order to change the server that the domain points to etc, and take total personal control, now that the guy went bankrupt through knowing even less than me.

cheers.

Do a Who is query to make sure it is actually registered against you. In order for your domain to link to your new web space you will need to contact the company who registered your domain name and ask them to change their records to show the correct Nameservers.

I.E. Server hosts supply Nameservers, Domain Registrars then alter them to point to correct nameserver.

This is assuming the people you registered with are NOT the site hosts.
