SG17 - It Lives!

And so it came to pass that on the eleventh day of November, in the year of our Lord twenty hundred and three, the Shotgun admin team did get off their almightily fat asses and plan a LAN. They invited the very cream of the gaming community to play, the makers of the finest equipment and beer to sponsor them, and the finest server administrators in the land to run it.

But none of them would come. "Bugger", the admins did say, "We're stuck with the usual lot again".

And thus, you are invited to partake in a weekend of gaming madness, with a special guest appearence by, erm... Me. Shouting a lot.

The basic rundown then -
Event: SG17
Dates: 9 - 11th January, 2004
Cost : The classic SG £15 for prepay, £20 on the door.
Location: TS Swiftsure, Aldershot. There's a map on the website somewhere. I can't be arsed to look it up.
Monkeys: I've done this joke before.

So, come join us for a weekend of drinking, shouting, gaming and probably burning things, seeing as the bonfire was quite a success last time out.

Signups as usual on the forum, and gimme a shout if you got any questions, either via mail, or on IRC/MSN/ICQ.

Speaking of which... is there any unusual, quirky unique things you'd like to be at your lan, involving masses and masses of players, all particpating together, up on the projector?

w00t!

Halo! Halo! Halo!

And I have my nice shiny blue box now. So more "Come on Dave!" when games are starting. :D

What file distribution s/w are we planning for SG? eMule nearly did well last time, except it was a little, uh, beta. eMulePlus looks very decent, however..

i reckon there will be a fair bit of desert combat and also some RTS like homeworld. Some HLDM will probably be played by those that do no other and i want to orginise a Liveforspeed 30min enduro race..
