QUAKE

WE ARE CURRENTLY SETTING UP A LARGE (60-130) MULTIPLAYER L.A.N. QUAKE EVENT FOR HALF TERM. VENUE IS AS YET UNDECIDED, BUT LIKELY TO BE THE RICHARD ALDWORTH SCHOOL HALL. ALL ARE WELCOME, THE ONLY REQUIREMENTS BEING:

A P90 OR ABOVE
16MB RAM OR BETTER
100MB HARD DRIVE SPACE

THERE WILL BE A NUMBER OR SERVERS RUNNING, INCLUDING:

TEAM FORTRESS
ROCKET ARENA
DEATHMATCH

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A NETWORK ADAPTER, THERE WILL BE A LIMITED NUMBER AVAILABLE FOR HIRE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. YOU CAN ALSO PURCHASE A CARD FROM US AT TRADE PRICE (ABOUT 7 QUID)

THERE IS A SMALL ENTRANCE FEE OF A FIVER, TO COVER LAN CABLES, PLUS HUB AND HALL HIRE.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, PLEASE E-MAIL US AT QUAKE@SAY10.DEMON.CO.UK IDEALLY, OR IF YOU CANNOT DO SO, CONTACT PETER MATTHEWS IN JOHN KANE’S TUTOR GROUP.

PLEASE CONTACT US AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, STATING YOUR BASIC SPECS (CPU, RAM, VIDEO CARD) AND WHETHER YOU REQUIRE A NETWORK ADAPTER. THIS IS SO WE CAN ARRANGE THE APPROPRIATE SIZE HUB AND AMOUNT OF CABLE.

ALSO, PLEASE INDICATE WHETHER A WEEKDAY, OR SATURDAY OR SUNDAY IS PREFERABLE, BEFORE WE SET A DATE.

such a classic game, we should play it more

Shotgun 1 was great because for the first time I was playing LAN team fortress without it envolving fitting 6 PC's and people in Ian's bedroom (with alex having to climb in via the window to get to his PC).

Remember it well...those were the days! I remember people trying to switch games to a flight sim thing (i think!) but my poor old computer didnt have the power to do it! :oops:
