RDF News Thingy...

Post by PeteTheHair »

For anyone who uses an RDF news ready thing (such as the excellent Trillian Pro), you may be interested to know I've set up a "Most recent posts" thingy on this board.

The RDF stream can be got to at http://shotgunlan.type3b.com/forums/rdf.php for your browsing pleasure :)

Sorry to resurrect a centuries old thread, but this is actually quite cool :)

Having got hacked off with the trillian newsreader (it sucked, it turns out), I abandoned this for a while...

However, project avoidance does wonderful things, and www.rdf-ticker.de has a top RDF read-y thing. Tis very nice :)

Notes on the SG feed : you can specify how many items to retrieve by appending ?count=xxx to the rdf url.

This is a lot more customisable than the BBC ticker, but is there any way to pick up the BBC ticker feed using it?

There are a bunch of official BBC feeds, but they're not very well publicised... http://holovaty.com/blog/archive/2002/09/03/1206 for details.
