Why is my forum account disabled?

Morning all,
Having just sent out a quick event announcement, I've noticed that we're getting an awful lot of bounced mail from invalid email addresses registered here... This has now flooded my inbox to the point where I want to try and tidy up a bit. I'm about to go through and disable the accounts of anyone who's email address is bouncing here.
To get your account re-enabled, mail me and I'll sort it all out for you.
I'll update this thread later with a list of accounts that have been disabled and the current email address attached to them.
Hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone too much... It really is getting quite silly at our end though
