GTA III

Post by uatec »

I have installed GTAIII, however it broke, so I uninstalled It and now when i try to install it again, it still seems to think it is installed and keeps running the uninstall thingy again.

How can I get rid of GTAIII completely so that I can install it again?

Thanx

Run Regedit & do a search for GTA3. Delete all entries with things that look like:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\DirectInput\GTA3.EXE3D13120400245000

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-606747145-764733703-1708537768-1004\Software\Microsoft\DirectInput\GTA3.EXE3D13120400245000

Delete the GTA3 User Files directory in your My Docs Directory.

Delete the game directory.

Reboot.

Reinstall.

These would all be very useful, if it were not for the fact that Windows XP has timed out. Now I am just trying my hardest to get ANY Microsoft OS onto my computer...

That is even easier to fix. Format C: Install Windows, Install GTA3...
