Right, the reason for no events recently is Nick and myself taking finals.
They start today.
Argh.
Still, should get an event soonish
Note : phpBB keeps logs of the time people visit. If I find that people have read this without leaving a nice message, I may have to cause some pain and violent death. Thankyou.

Well Pete having taken my finals last year I can truely say they were the worst experience of my life but I'm sure imperial have a better system than Oxford. I had 8 3 hours exams in 4 days so that was a nice 6 hours of examinations each and every day.
but anyway good luck and just think of the party afterwards.

At high school I always used to prefer exams, but since coming to uni I think coursework is a much better way of testing ability. To have your whole degree depend on your performance over a couple of days is really harsh, especially with the effect stress can have on peoples performance.
Anyways, if it gets too hard pete, jus stick some undies on your head, a pencil in each ear, and say "wibble" a few times... works like a treat.
hmm, I have AS level exams coming up in about 3 weeks, the biggest thing I'm worried about is having 3, one hour, business studies exams, in a row. I have no god damn idea HOW I'm going to write for 3 hours, I hate writing, very very annoying...
Good luck with the exams Pete and Kulgan. I never had to take any exams when I was at college, mainly because I dropped out after a few months of the first year.
I had several AS level business studies exams on the afternoon I sat them. Suffice to say I did worse on the last one and better on the first. Even in the worst case you can just resit in January anyway.

yes, do well in your year 9 SATs, and revise like mum tells you to
trust me, don't think that just because you got a good mock grade you'll do well without revising for the real thing..also, just think, if you didn't revise well in your mock exam, and got a good grade, think of the grade you'll get if you revise really hard for your real exam, do well Matt.

Well, good luck to all of us, in whichever exams we're taking!

Some say GCSE's are the hardest exams you'll ever take. Personally I disagree, so good luck nonetheless. Im not the first, I probably won't be the last.
But I am about to do A-Levels, so I will share in your pain.
We're all clinically insane, but only some of us are sane enough to admit it
In two weeks I open the proceedings with Maths M1,
Math is deff my worst subject Getting 60% in my mocks but dont think things will be like that come the real things,
They really like to pile on the pressure,
Especially as I have to continue maths for A level as well,
Its good to know that the rest of the world likes the prospect of exams as much as me
Good luck all,
